Jazz is a stylized and technical from of dance that considers placement, precision, strength, flexibilty and a ballet foundation combined with the use of rhythmic music. Students are instructed in a proper warm-up, stretching and strength building exercises. Students are taught proper terminology and jazz technique in turns, leaps and kicks, floor work and how to incorporate these into choreography. Students will learn sharp, controlled movements; explore musicality and perfect performance abilities. Jazz will help the student with body awareness, coordination, agility, rhythm, flexibilty, strength, and musicality.
